Wheels to Work
Helping our neighbors move toward self-sufficiency
Do you need reliable transportation to get or keep a job?
We at The Way Station know that decent and adequate transportation is a primary barrier to self-sufficiency for the working poor of our neighborhoods. Those without a vehicle face double jeopardy: they cannot get a job without transportation and they are unable to access transportation without a job.
The Wheels to Work program has been created by The Way Station to break this cycle and provide those who are working with a vehicle at a reasonable cost and reasonable terms. We connect those with vehicles to donate with those who are needing transportation. Contact us if YOU have a vehicle to provide.
Wheels to Work vehicles are "sold" to those moving toward self-sufficiency at one half of the low retail value of the vehicle, according to the NADA Blue Book valued as posted on the world wide web. The Way Station provides a no interest loan for the purchase and accepts bi-weekly payments of $25 and above. Proceeds from the sale of vehicles are used to manage and promote the Wheels to Work program. Vehicle buyers must have a valid Ohio driver's license as well as provide proof of insurance at the time of the vehicle sale.
Wheels to Work is making a difference to those seeking to move toward self-sufficiency!
